Councillor Kris Desjarlais

Kris Desjarlais is in his third term as the Councillor for the heart of our city. A married father of three, he is currently the Director of Indigenous Education for Assiniboine Community College. He has been a resident of Brandon for 30 years, active as a youth soccer coach, a minor hockey referee, and an active member/supporter of Brandon’s arts and entertainment scene. 

He spent several years coordinating Brandon’s Housing First program. Kris wants to ensure an open and transparent city hall - one that is committed to building a strong and vibrant city through improved community service, investment in infrastructure renewal, and smart growth. He believes in equity and opportunity for all of Brandon’s population. 

Quarterly ward meetings are held on the second Thursday in March, June, September, and December. Location alternates between the Park and North End Community centres.
