Our goal with the City of Brandon social media pages is to make them a constructive place for residents to ask questions and share feedback. While we can't always reply to every comment, we will do our best to answer questions and provide additional resources as needed. We encourage healthy debate, but ask that comments be made with kindness.

Any public posts that contain the following will be deleted without notice (where deletion is possible), and the user may be prohibited from future participation on the City of Brandon’s social media platforms:

• Graphic, obscene, abusive, rude/insulting, discriminatory, sexist, or racist posts of any kind, both to City of Brandon employees, as well as other commenters;
• Inappropriate or offensive language of any kind;
• Personal attacks of any kind;
• Spam or advertisements of any product, website, or service not directly associated with the City of Brandon;
• Posts made for explicit commercial purposes by private business;
• Infringement of copyrights or trademarks;
• Identification of publicly-elected representatives, candidates or parties, regardless of their political affiliation, whether comments are supportive or critical
• Content that provides any non-public information about the City or its employees;
• Comments that are inaccurate, misleading, off-topic, or involve the spread of misinformation regarding City services, programs and operations.

Please note that comments made on accounts not belonging to the City of Brandon are not monitored.
