In 2013 City Council adopted the City’s first ever Water Conservation Plan. The City of Brandon is a leader in environmental stewardship so naturally the City stepped up to the plate to write its first-ever formal Water Conservation Plan in Brandon. This plan is intended to be a stand-alone living document yet complimenting the City’s Environmental Strategic Plan (ESP), focusing on the City’s activities and operations so that the City can continue to lead by example and set standards for residents, industry, and stakeholders. The purpose of this plan is to set out a series of actions for the municipality both on the community and corporate level. These actions range from immediate to long term to reduce the City’s water consumption while still maintaining excellent quality and quantity for current and future generations.
