The Eastview Landfill accepts trees and wood waste, as well as leftover construction lumber. These items are chipped up and used for a variety of applications, including: road cover when road conditions are undesirable for traction and fuel as a replacement for coal.
The City of Brandon’s Parks and Recreation Department has used the woodchips as a decorative product in various location throughout the City in flower beds, around planted trees, and in parks.
This product is also sold per tonne as per the Fee Schedule.
