The City of Brandon Water Filter Rebate Program gives eligible Brandon residents a rebate for purchasing an NSF/ANSI-53 certified water filter and/or filter cartridges. Homes built before the mid-1950s may have a lead water service connection. Using a filter is an affordable and effective temporary solution to reduce the amount of lead in tap water to a safe level. The City of Brandon will provide a one-time rebate of up to $100 to assist eligible property owners/occupants in the purchase of an NSF/ANSI-53 certified water filter, or replacement filter cartridges.

Rebates will ONLY be issued following:

  1. confirmation there is a lead service connection, OR
  2. confirmation of test results which show lead at levels higher than national drinking water guidelines of 0.005 milligrams per litre (mg/L); AND
  3. submission of a completed application form provided by the City of Brandon; AND
  4. submission of the original receipt & packaging showing purchase of an NSF/ANSI-53 certified water filter. Copies can be given to you for your records upon request.
