Stabbing

On June 24, 2020, police responded to the report of a stabbing. The victim was located walking in the area of the 3200 block of Pacific Ave. He was transported by BFES ambulance to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation led police to learn the identity of the two suspects who were later located and arrested. A 26-year-ol male, and a 16-year-old male youth will appear in court on October 22, 2020 on charges of Assault with a Weapon.

 

Fraudulent Use of Credit Card

On May 6, 2020, police received a report of the theft of a debit card. The owner discovered it had been used at several local businesses to make purchases over $200. An investigation in the use of the card led police to learn the identity of the suspect. On June 24, 2020, the 37-year-old male was located and arrested. He will appear in court on a later date on charges of Fraudulent Use of Credit Card X3.

 

Possess Prohibited Weapon

On June 10, 2020, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred at a business in the 1500 block of 18th street. The two victims had been sprayed in the face with bear mace at approximately 7:00 pm that day. The suspect had fled prior to police arrival.

An investigation into the assault led police to learn the identity of the 20-year-old male suspect. He was located and arrested on June 24, 2020 and he will appear in court today on charges of Administer Noxious Thing, Possess Prohibited Weapon, Assault with a Weapon, and Possess Weapon while Prohibited.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On June 24, 2020 at approximately 8:30 pm, police observed an individual known to them to be the subject of a 24-hour curfew. The 35-year-old male was arrested and will appear in court on a later date on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

The male was with a 20-year-old male who was to comply with a court order to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. He too was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level. He will be released when sober to appear in court on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Fail to comply with Undertaking

On June 25, 2020 shortly after 1:00 am, police received a report of an intoxicated female walking in the area of fifth and Princess. The female was yelling and crying which caused bystanders to be concerned for her wellbeing. Police located the 26-year-old female who was the subject of a condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released when sober. She will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On June 25, 2020, shortly after 2:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Park Ave. The driver of the vehicle was found to be on conditions not to operate a motor vehicle. The 26-year-old female was arrested and will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

A 41-year-old female passenger in the vehicle provided a false name to police as she was on a court order to obey a 24-hour curfew. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. She will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Public Mischief.

 

Possession of a Weapon

On June 25, 2020, shortly after 3:00 am, police located a 26-year-old male who was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Theft Under. Once arrested he was found to be in possession of a hunting knife, which was contrary to court orders prohibiting him from possessing any weapons. He will appear in court on a later date on charges of Theft, Possession of a Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

IPDA

Two individuals, a 42-year-old female, and a 41-year-old male were arrested separately and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to the level of their impairment, as there was no one to care for them. They will be released when sober.
