Brandon Police Service Cadet Corps

 

Unfortunately due to Covid-19, Brandon Police Service Cadets will not be able to resume activities for the remainder of this Cadet training year. The Brandon Police Service is hoping for an October 2021 start for the 21/22 Cadet season. Please watch the website this summer for more information.

Youth between the ages of 13 & 18 are welcome to enroll in the program and participate in various activities including, police knowledge, leadership, citizenship and fun physical activities and outings.

Cadets will participate in Police orientated events and are exposed to various units including:

  • Patrol
  • Identification
  • Traffic
  • K-9
  • Crime & Drugs
  • Community Policing

Cadets will be expected to participate in drill (marching), sports (fun!) while maintaining dress and deportment and complying with regulations. Cadets will build self-esteem, confidence and gain valuable leadership skills!

The 2019-2020 Cadet year begins on October 15th, 2019 and will continue every Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm (excluding holidays) until the June 9th 2020. Cadets meet at the Brandon Armoury located at 1116 Victoria Ave, Brandon Manitoba.

EVERYONE (Male & Female who have reached the age of 13 PRIOR to the enrolment of Cadets and not yet reached the age of 18) who wishes to join/or ‘check us out’ are welcome!

Parents are encouraged to attend on Registration night (October 15th, 2019)! Registration/waiver forms will be provided to parents for completion.

There is NO COST to join!  Brandon Police Service will provide uniforms (T-Shirt/Cap) however should these be lost or require replacing a nominal fee may be charged.

Canteen will be available with $1 snack items each parade night (Chips/Bars/Drinks).
