Sexual Interference/ Break and Enter and Commit Robbery

On June 9, 2020, members of Major Crimes Section arrested an 18-year-old male following an investigation into an ongoing situation that spanned over several years.

The victim reported that on May 22, 2020, the suspect attended to the victim’s residence and forced his way inside after knocking the victim to the ground. The suspect then took some items from the home.

The victim also reported being in a prior relationship with the male during a time when the victim was not at an age to consent. The investigation also brought to light several incidents of Sexual Assault, and Forcible Confinement, which occurred during this time.

The 18-year-old male will appear in court at a later date on charges of Break and Enter and Commit Robbery, Uttering Threats, Sexual Interference X 3, Sexual Assault X 3, and Forcible Confinement.

 

Arrest Warrant

On June 9, 2020, police located two individuals who were wanted on outstanding charges. A 37-year-old female and a 34-year-old male were arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Release Order.

 

Consume Under

On June 10, 2020, shortly after 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 200 block of 18th street N. A 17-year-old female was found to be the cause of the disturbance. She was too intoxicated to be on her own, and there was no one to take responsibility of her. To prevent the continuation of the disturbance, she was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On June 9, 2020 at approximately 8:30 am, police received several calls regarding a female who was screaming and banging on residential doors in the 300 block of 7th street. The 42-year-old female was found to be under the influence of Meth. She was unable to care for herself and was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Theft Under $5000

On June 9, 2020 at approximately 1:30 pm, police responded to a report of an individual who had stolen a basket full of merchandise from a business in the 100 block of Victoria Ave E. Employees from the business attempted to confront the individual, who threatened to spray them with pepper spray. A witness intervened, stopped and held the suspect until police arrived. The 24-year-old male was arrested and will appear in court on a later date on charges of Theft Under and Utter Threats. He was not found in possession of any pepper spray.

 

Refuse ASD

On June 9, 2020, police responded to a report of a male who was openly drinking alcohol while parked in a vehicle outside a business in the 1000 block of Victoria Ave, shortly after 2:00 pm. The 39-year-old male refused to provide a sample of his breath, and was arrested for Refuse ASD. He will appear in court at a later date.

 

Possess Meth

On June 9, 2020 shortly before 4:00 pm, police arrested a 26-year-old female following an investigation. The female was in possession of a small quantity of Meth. She will appear in court on a later date.
