Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Breach of Release Order

On July 16, 2023, at approximately 8:25 AM, Police located the stolen vehicle, parked in the driveway of the house on Westaway Bay.  35-year-old male suspect, was apprehended by Police in the residence and after speaking with his counsel, admitted to driving the above vehicle and handed keys to Police.  A check of Police records revealed that he was bound by a Release Order with a condition of a 24 hour curfew at his home address. He was lodged at BPS to appear for court on 2023-07-17.

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On July 16, 2023, at approximately 10:22 PM, Police observed the accused in the 100 block of 9th Street.  A check of Police records revealed that he was bound by a Release Order with a condition of a 6 PM – 6AM daily curfew.  29-year-old male was arrested and transported to BPS. He was lodged and will appear in Court on 2023-07-17

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On July 16, 2023, at approximately 3:40 AM Police were called to the area of Victoria Ave East and Dennis Avenue intersection for an intoxicated shirtless male yelling in the parking lot and kicking at cars. Police attended and located 19-year-old male. A check of Police records revealed that he was bound by an Undertaking with a condition to abstain from consumption of alcohol. As a result, he was arrested and transported to BPS. He was lodged to appear in Court on 2023-07-17.

Breach of Peace / IPDA

On July 16, 2023 at approximately 9:10 PM Police were called to assist BFES with a highly intoxicated female sleeping outside 45 Willowdale Crescent.  25-years-old female was being aggressive and threatening to BFES staff upon Police arrival.  She was arrested for breach of the peace and lodged at BPS to be released when sober.

On July 16, 2023 at approximately 10:20 PM Police were called to attend to the residence at 1200 Block 9th Street as 37-years-old female was making suicidal comments while communicating with a friend.  Upon arrival, she was found to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.  She continued to make these types of comments. She was arrested and lodged at BPS to be released when sober and after being assessed by Mobile Crisis Unit.

On July 16, 2023 at approximately 12:50 AM Police attended to Tim Horton’s (18th St S) for a female who was screaming in the restaurant requesting Police as she “did not feel safe”. Police attended and found 30-year-old female highly intoxicated.  She was arrested under IPDA, transported to BPS and lodged, to be released when sober.
