Warrant

On the morning of 2024-01-22, police attended to the 800 block of Lorne Avenue for a report of an individual that was staggering in the street.  A check of police records for a 29-year-old female revealed two outstanding warrants.  The accused has been lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-01-23.

Possession of a Weapon

On 2024-01-22, the BPS high school SRO assisted BSD staff with a discovery that a student was in possession of a weapon.  The 15-year-old male youth was confirmed to have stored a machete in his backpack while at the school.  The accused has been released to a guardian with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-16 for the charge of Possession of a Weapon.

Breach of Peace

On the morning of 2024-01-22, police attended to the 1500 block of 26th Street for a report of a male that was walking in traffic and causing a disturbance.  A 30-year-old male was determined to be intoxicated by drug and lodged at BPS until sober.

Warrant

On the afternoon of 2024-01-22, a 39-year-old male attended to the Brandon Court House and was determined to have an outstanding warrant.  The accused has been lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-01-23.

Mischief to Property/Theft Under $5000

On the morning of 2024-01-22, police received a report that a building had been spray painted in 1100 block of 18th Street.  A 30-year-old male suspect was later located by police walking in the 600 block of 17th Street.  A search incident to arrest resulted in locating several unpaid items belonging to a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street.  The accused has been lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-01-23 for the charges of Mischief to Property and Theft Under $5000.

Warrant/Theft Under $5000

On the evening of 2024-01-22, police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street.  Shortly after, police located the 32-year-old female in the area.  A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant.  The accused has been lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-01-23.

FTC Undertaking

On the evening of 2024-01-22, police attended to a report of a disturbance at a hotel in the 1200 block of 1st Street N.  A check of police records revealed the 36-year-old male was in violation of conditions to not communicate with a 45-year-old female that was present.  The accused has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-24 for the charge of Failure to Comply with Undertaking.
