Assault with Weapon

On January 22, 2021 at approx. 9:00 pm police attended to a house on Clement Drive on a complaint that young person may have been assaulted. Investigation revealed that a 14 year old female had assaulted another 14 year old female with a piece of a bed frame and punched her in the face.  The suspect was arrested and released to appear in court on charges of assault with a weapon, on April 6 2021.

Impaired Driver

On January 22, 2021 at approx. 9:54 pm police received a call regarding a possible impaired driver in a small hatchback car stopped right in the middle of the 100 blk Richmond Avenue.  Police located the driver, a 28 year old male from Brandon, a few blocks away. The driver showed signs of impairment and was returned to BPS for Breath Tests which he eventually refused to provide.  He was arrested for Fail to provide samples on demand and held until sober.  He was later released to appear in court on January 28, 2021.

Other Arrests

On January 22, 2021 at approx. 3:88 pm police received a report of a man causing problems at an apt in the 00 blk of 9th St.  Police attended and arrested a 44 year old male for Breach of the Peace.  He was released when sober.

On January 22, 2021 at approx. 5:02 am police were called to Buffalo Way were a man was trying to get in through a window. Police attended and located a highly intoxicated 28 year old male from Minnedosa. He was arrested and lodged and released once sober.

On January 23, 2021 at approx. 4:08 am police stopped a vehicle in the 600 blk Percy St. The driver was found to be a prohibited driver.  The vehicle was seized and the driver was charged and released to appear in court on March 25, 2021.

On January 23, 2021 at approx. 4:10 am police were called to a dispute between a couple of roommates.  Police were able to calm the pair but were called back shortly after. A 51 year old male was arrested and held for Breach of the Peace. Released in the AM.
