Break and Enter – Arrest

On January 21, 2020, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 800 block of Dennis Street. Suspects gained entry to the residence by forcing a door between 8:00 am, and 5:45 pm. Stolen was a PS4.

On January 22, 2020, following an investigation into the break and enter, police located and arrested the 18-year-old male suspect. He was no longer in possession of the PS4 at the time of his arrest.

He will appear in court on March 16, 2020 on a charge of Break Enter and Theft.

 

Break and Enter

On January 22, 2020, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 000 block of Willowdale Cres. Suspects likely entered the residence with a stolen key. Stolen was a 55” Samsung TV. Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Assault Cause Bodily Harm

On January 22, 2020, police received a report of an assault, which occurred at a residence at approximately 3:00 am. The victim attended to Brandon Police Service to make the complaint, and disclosed two other assaults that occurred within the previous month.

On January 22, 2020, the 20-year-old male suspect was arrested. He will appear in court on February 24, 2020 on a charge of Assault Cause Bodily Harm, and Assault X 2.

 

Assault

On January 22, 2020, Police responded to a report of an assault in a residence shortly before midnight. The suspect punched the victim in the face, took their glasses and broke them in half. Once the suspect knew police were called, he fled.

Police were able to locate the 22-year-old male suspect a short time later. He was arrested and will appear in court on March 18, 2020 on charges of Assault and Mischief to Property.

 

IPDA

On January 23, 2020 at 2:40 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in common area of an apartment building. He was previously kicked out of an apartment he was visiting, but would not leave the property when given the opportunity. The male would not provide police with an alternative address to take him for the night, so he was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.

 

IPDA

On January 23, 2020 at 3:00 am, police received a complaint from a business in the 1900 block of Queens Ave of a male who was passed out on the property. The 56-year-old male was from out of province, and had nowhere to stay. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On January 22, 2020, police responded to a complaint of a male waving around a large hunting knife in the 300 block of 12th street at 1:20 pm. Police located the suspect at 12th and Victoria. He was still in possession of the hunting knife. Police learned that the 19-year-old male was to abide by conditions not to possess or carry any weapon. He was arrested and will appear in court on March 16, 2020.

 

Arrest Warrants

Three other individuals were arrested over the last 24 hours on outstanding charges for failing to comply with conditions of their court orders. A 23-year-old female, a 26-year-old male, and a 28-year-old male will each appear in court today.
