Breach of Peace:
On January 19, 2024, at 11:03pm, police were dispatched to the City Centre Hotel regarding an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police located an intoxicated 45 year old male who was found to be the problem. The male was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Police Station. The male was issued an offence notice for being disorderly in a licensed premises and released once sober.
Drive Suspended / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime:
On January 19, 2024, at 11:49pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of 9th Street. The driver of the vehicle, a 41 year old male, was found to be a suspended driver. Further investigation revealed that the male was also in possession of a stolen license plate. The male was arrested, the vehicle was seized/towed, and the male was later released with a future court date.
Consume Liquor under the age of 18 years:
On January 20, 2024, at 01:08am, police were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Lorne Avenue regarding an intoxicated female. The resident requested police remove the female. The intoxicated female youth was arrested and lodged at the Police Station where she was later issued an offence notice for consuming liquor under the age of 18 years. The female was released once sober, into the care of a family member.
Theft of Vehicle / Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose:
On January 20, 2024, at 00:58am, a resident in the 0 hundred block of 20th Street reported that her vehicle had just been stolen. A short time later, police located the stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of Rosser Avenue and arrested a 35 year old male responsible for the theft. At the time of the arrest, the male was in possession of a knife. The male was lodged at the Brandon Police Station and later released with a future court date.
Arrest Warrant:
On January 20, 2024, at 04:12am, a 30 year old male attended the Brandon Police Service regarding a warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and lodged at the Police Station. The male will appear before a Justice regarding the matter.
Fail to Comply with Undertaking Condition / Resist Arrest:
On January 20, 2024, at 04:37am, police encountered an intoxicated female youth in the 800 block of Park Avenue. The female was found to be not abiding by her curfew condition. The female became combative and resisted being arrested. During the arrest, she was found to be in possession of a large knife. The female was lodged at the Police Station where she will appear before a Justice regarding the matter.
