Break and Enter

On January 14 at 07:39 a.m. police responded to an alarm at a business in the 600 block of Rosser Avenue. Police attended and found the front door glass had been smashed. It appears the suspect broke the window and grabbed a small clothing item and fled. The matter is still under investigation.

Arson

On January 14th at 09:39 a.m. Police were called for a structure fire to an abandoned detached garage in the 200 block of Lyndale Drive. The fire appeared suspicious, and police located a male hiding in the area. The 34-year-old male had black smoke on his hands and face. He was arrested for arson and held for court on January 15th, 2024.

Theft Under $5000

On January 14th at 11:54 a.m. a resident in the 600 block of 37th street reported that his wallet had been stolen from his truck that was parked in his driveway. He began receiving notifications on his phone that his credit card was being used at several locations around town. Police observed the suspect on video surveillance from one of the businesses. A 32-year-old male matching the suspect’s description was found outside a business on Willowdale Cresent. He was arrested and released for court on March 14th, 2024.
