Arrest Warrants

On January 11, 2021, police located and arrested a 30-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for Take Motor Vehicle without Consent, and Drive While Ability Impaired.  He will appear in court on March 18, 2021.

On January 1, 2021, a 35-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service, as she was aware of an outstanding warrant for her arrest.  She will appear in court on February 1, 2021 on charges of Use Forged document, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

On January 11, 2021, police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of McDiarmid Drive.  The 29-year-old female driver was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Fail to comply with Undertaking.  She will appear in court on March 29, 2021.

On January 12, 2021, police located and arrested a 38-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for Fail to attend Court.  He will appear on April 1, 2021.

 

Assault

On January 11, 2021, police received a report of an assault, which took place at a residence on January 8, 2021.  The 30-year-old male suspect bit the victim several times.  He was also on conditions not to have any contact with the victim at the time.  He was arrested on January 11, 2021 and lodged.  He will appear in court today on charges of Assault, Fail to comply with Probation, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Break and Enter

On January 11, 2021, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 700 block of Lorne Ave.  Suspects entered sometime following January 3, 2021.  Once inside suspects took a set of Ridgid Hand tools, 2 space heaters and a crimping tool.  Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service. 

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On January 11, 2021, police responded to a disturbance at a residence at approximately 3:30 pm.  A 37-year-old male who was at the residence was bound by a court order not to be at the residence, or to have communication with others there.  He was arrested and lodged to appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Break and Enter and Commit Theft

On January 11, 2021, police responded to a Break and Enter to a residence on Christie Bay at approximately 4:00 pm.  A 33-year-old male suspect fled the residence after taking several swords.  The suspect was pursued on foot and apprehended by an off duty member of Brandon Police Service.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Break and Enter and Commit Theft.

 

Stolen Vehicle

On January 11, 2021, police responded to a report of the theft of a vehicle from the 1700 block of 18th street N at 6:40 pm.  The vehicle is described as a black 2005 Acura MDX with license plate D65004.  Immediately following the theft of the vehicle the suspect stole $30 of gas from a Brandon business on the TransCanada Highway before traveling eastbound.  Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service. 

 

Breach of Peace

On January 11, 2021, shortly before 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female who was passed out on the porch of a residence.  The homeowner did not know the 31-year-old female.  The female was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On January 11, 2021, police responded to report of a disturbance in a residence shortly after 9:00 pm.  A 22-year-old female was found to be the cause of the disturbance.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent the situation from escalating.

 

Forcible Confinement

On January 11, 2021 at 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The suspect held the victim against their will during the assault.  The victim did not require medical attention.  The suspect was also to abide by a court ordered condition to have no contact with the victim.  The 40-year-old male was arrested and lodged to appear in court today on charges of Forcible Confinement and Fail to Comply with Release order.

 

Fail to comply with Undertaking

On January 11, 2021, at approximately 11:20 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Lorne Ave.  A passenger of the vehicle was in possession of alcohol, contrary to a condition of an undertaking.  The 43-year-old female was arrested and will appear in court on April 1, 2021.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On January 11, 2021 at approximately 10:30 pm, police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 1900 block of Queens Ave.  A 51-year-old male at the scene was to abide by conditions not to have any communication with another individual.  He was arrested and will appear in court on April 1, 2021 for Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Recognizance

On January 12, 2021, shortly after 3:00 am, police observed a 17-year-old male who was walking in the 600 block of Brock Ave, contrary to his court ordered curfew.  He was arrested and lodged at will appear in court today.
