Fraud Credit Card
In October 2020, police received a report of a stolen bankcard. The card was used at several businesses within Brandon following the theft for more than $200. An investigation led police to learn the identity of the individual who used the stolen credit card; however, his whereabouts were unknown at the time.
On February 2, 2021, police located the 39-year-old male suspect and arrested him. He was released to appear in court on a charge of Fraud Credit Card on April 26, 2021.
Assault
On February 2, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred at a residence shortly after 9:00 am. Following the assault, the 27-year-old male suspect slashed two of the tires on a vehicle belonging to one of the residents.
Police located and arrested the suspect a short distance away from the residence. He was also to abide by release conditions not to possess any weapons. He appeared in court that same day on charges of Assault, Mischief to Property and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require any medical attention.
Breach of Peace
On February 2, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence at approximately 12:00 pm. One individual in the residence, a 30-year-old male, was found to be the problem as he was highly intoxicated and becoming physically aggressive towards others in the residence. To prevent the situation from escalating, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On February 2, 2021, shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of several individuals on a vacant residential property. Two of the individuals were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants. One of the suspects, a 38-year-old female, was arrested for Fail to Attend Court. She was released to appear in court at a later date. The second suspect, a 33-year-old male, was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Release Order.
On February 2, 2021, shortly after 8:00 pm, police located a 36-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Uttering Threats, and Fail to Attend Court.
On February 3, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance in an apartment building at approximately 2:00 am. The 34-year-old male suspect was yelling while punching the walls in the building. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.
