Theft Under $5000

On 2024-01-29, police received a report of a theft of a tablet from a business located in the 1300 block of 18^th Street.  A suspect was identified through video surveillance and on 2024-02-11, a 28-year-old male was located in the 400 block of 10^th Street and arrested.  The accused has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-18 for the charge of Theft Under $5000.

Breach of Peace

On the evening of 2024-02-11, police attended to a residence in the 100 block of 2^nd Street as a family member was intoxicated and causing a disturbance.  A 19-year-old female was lodged at BPS and will be released once sober.

Break and Enter

On 2024-02-12, police attended to an apartment block in the 400 block of 12^th Street as an individual had gained access to the building and was attempting to steal coins from the laundry machines.  A 34-year-old male was arrested and found to be in possession of a crow-bar.  The accused has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-01 for the charges of Break & Enter, and Possession of B&E Instrument.

Assault

On 2024-02-12, police attended to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 2000 block of Brandon Avenue.  Investigation resulted in disclosure from a 34-year-old female that her spouse had assaulted her after he returned home intoxicated.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  A 43-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS will be released sober with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-01 for the charge of assault.
