Assault:

At about 11:40 AM Saturday morning, Police were called to the 1100 block Rosser Avenue East for a disturbance between family members.  Upon arrival, members learned that a drug-intoxicated 24 year-old male had assaulted his older sister at her residence by throwing hot coffee on her.  He also threatened further harm upon her.  Her was arrested for the offences and was later released on appropriate police imposed conditions.  He is scheduled to appear in court on March 11th, 2024.

Arrest Warrant:

A 35 year-old male was arrested, just before 4:00 PM Saturday afternoon, on the strength of a warrant for arrest for failing to attend court.  He was held in custody overnight to appear before the Court this morning. 

Breach of Release Order:

A highly intoxicated 40 year-old male was arrested for failing to comply with conditions of a Release Order after he was found to be causing a disturbance at a residence in the 600 block 9th Street late Saturday night.  The accused was not to be in the City of Brandon, and is to abide by a 10 PM – 7AM daily curfew at his residence in Saskatchewan. He was held in custody overnight to appear before the Court this morning. 

Domestic Assaults:

A 45 year-old female and a 36 year-old male were both arrested for assaulting each other during a disturbance at the Colonial Inn.  The two accused are intimate partners.  Both are charged with one count of assault and were released on appropriate police imposed conditions.  The female is scheduled to appear in court on February 5th and the male on February 1st.  Neither required medical attention.
