Arrest Warrant – Fail to Attend Court

On August 4, 2023 at approximately 10:09pm, police attended to the 000 block of 13th Street North regarding a disturbance.  Police encountered a 37 year old female who was found to have a warrant for her arrest.  The female was arrested, conveyed, and detained at the Brandon Police Station where she appeared before a Justice regarding the matter.

Assault:

On August 5, 2023, at 12:38am, police were called to an address on Otter Bay regarding a dispute.  An assault was reported to police and as a result, a 51 year old male was arrested at the residence. The male was conveyed and lodged at the Brandon Police Station where he was later released with a future court date.

Theft Under $5000.00 / Fail to Comply with Probation:

On August 5, 2023 at 3:10am, police were dispatched to attend a theft that had just occurred at a convenience store located in the 800 block of 1st Street.  Police learned that a male had stolen a quantity of cigarettes and fled.  At 5:22am, police located the suspect at a convenience store located at 5 Willowdale Crescent.  The 29 year old male was arrested for the theft, as well as for failing to comply with his probation, as he was bound by conditions not to attend 5 Willowdale Crescent.  The male was conveyed and lodged at the Brandon Police Station where he was later released with a future court date.

Fail to Comply with Undertaking: 

On August 5, 2023 at 5:22am, while police were at the convenience store located at 5 Willowdale Crescent, police encountered a 35 year old male who was found to be out past his curfew, a condition of his Undertaking.  The male was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Police Station where he was later released with a future court date.

Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking / Proceeds of Crime:

On August 5, 2023 at 4:40am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Lyndale Drive.  The 22 year old driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small quantity of cocaine as well as Canadian currency (believed to be proceeds from the sale of the drugs). The male was arrested and later released with a future court date.
