Armed Robbery

On July 31, 2023, police received a report of a robbery in the area of the 500 block of Louise Ave at approximately 12:30 am.  Investigation revealed that an adult male victim was assaulted by two male suspects with a set of brass knuckles before they took his backpack and ran.  The victim was acquainted with the suspects.  He received injuries that required medical treatment.

On August 2, 2023 shortly before 2:00 am, police located and arrested the two male suspects at a residence.  The 19-year-old male and the 26-year-old male were lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Robbery with a Weapon and Possession of Offensive Weapon.

 

IPDA

On August 1, 2023 shortly before 10:00 am police responded to a report of an intoxicated 22-year-old female in the 1200 block of Rosser Ave.  The female was in no condition to care for herself and had nowhere to go.  She was lodged until sober.

 

Assault

On August 1, 2023 at 10:30 am, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The 42-year-old female suspect assaulted an adult male in an apartment.  The male received minor injuries that did not require medical attention.  The female was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 3, 2023 on a charge of Assault.

 

Breach of Peace

On August 1, 2023 shortly after 3:00 pm, police responded to a report of a fight in the area of the 1800 block of Pacific Ave.  One of the females involved was found to be the cause of the issues due to her intoxication.  She was arrested and lodged t Brandon Police Service to prevent any further fights.

 

Fail to Comply with Probation

On August 1, 2023, shortly after 11:00 pm, police came across a pedestrian in the 1000 block of Ottawa Ave.  The male originally provided police with a false name, as the 16-year-old male was to abide by a daily curfew.  The male was arrested and later released to appear in court on August 26, 2023 on charges of Fail to Comply with Probation and Public Mischief.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On August 2, 2023 shortly after 4:00 am, police came across a male pedestrian in the 700 block of Princess.  The male was to abide by a daily curfew.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Arrest Warrant

On August 1, 2023, a 29-year-old male attended to Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of outstanding charges of Uttering Threats.  He was later released to appear in court on August 24, 2023.
