Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

 

Possession of Controlled Substance:

On April 18th at approximately 9:50 P.M., Police observed a vehicle driving without license plates. A vehicle stop was conducted with three occupants located within and a subsequent search of the vehicle located a small amount of methamphetamine and one pill of hydromorphone which none of the occupants had a prescription to possess. The 23-year-old female driver, 26-year-old female passenger and 49-year-old male passenger all from Brandon were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance X 2. All three were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Court in July.

 

Breach of Release Order:

 On April 19th at approximately 3:00 A.M., a male riding a bicycle was checked by Police near 18th Street and Queens Avenue. The 39-year-old man who is known to Police was found to be in Breach of a Release Order by being out past his 10:00 P.M. curfew. The man was arrested and released on an Appearance Notice. He is scheduled to attend Court in July.   

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

Just after 4:00 A.M., Police responded to a noise complaint at a residence in the 400 Block of 2nd Street. A highly intoxicated 19-year-old man located within the residence was found to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Use a Stolen Credit Card and Fail to Attend Court. The man was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Police Service. He will be released when sober on an Appearance Notice and scheduled to appear in Court in July.

 

Other Arrests:

  • Two individuals were detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act.
  • One individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace.
