Stolen Vehicle

On April 14, 2020, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 3200 block of Rosser Ave. The theft is believed to have occurred at approximately 2:30 am. The vehicle is described as a white 2012, Mazda 2, hatchback, with Manitoba license HTS 446. Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Arrest Warrant - Assault

On April 14, 2020 at approximately 9:15 am, police located and arrested a 20-year-old female at her residence. She was wanted on outstanding charges of Assault. She will appear in court on a later date.

 

Arrest Warrant - Fail to Comply with Probation

On April 14, 2020 at approximately 9:30 am, police located and arrested a 25-year-old female at her residence. She was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation and will appear in court on a later date.

 

Utter Forged Document

On March 6, 2020, police received a report of a Break and Enter and Theft from a residence in the 400 block of 14th street. Amongst the stolen property were some cheques.

Police later received information regarding the stolen cheques, as one of them had been forged and the suspect made an attempt to cash it. Police were then able to learn the identity of the suspects.

On April 14, 2020, police responded to a separate matter at a residence and located one of the suspects who had been in possession of the stolen forged cheques. The 44-year-old male was arrested. Upon his arrest, police located 16 grams of Meth in his possession.

He will appear in court at a later date on charges of Utter Forged Document, Possess Stolen Property, Possess Proceeds of Crime, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, and Fail to comply with Probation.

 

IPDA

On April 14, 2020 shortly after 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of an unwanted intoxicated individual at a residence. The 45-year-old male suspect was passed out in the home, with nowhere else to go, and no one willing to care for him. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On April 14, 2020, at approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance in a residence. Police had already dealt with the male earlier in the day as he was found intoxicated and passed out at a separate location in the downtown area. The male was taken to the residence where he was causing the disturbance, as the homeowner agreed to care for him, until he became too problematic. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Assault

On April 14, 2020 at approximately 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence. A 36-year-old male suspect threw the victim down a set of stairs, and proceeded to damage a television. The suspect also failed to abide by a condition not to consume any alcohol.

The suspect was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober. He will appear in court on a later date on charges of Assault, Mischief to Property Under $5000, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
