Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

A 39 year old Brandon man was arrested on Friday morning for Failing to Comply with a Release Order after being located out during curfew hours. He will appear in court in August.

A stolen vehicle was recovered abandoned in a ditch in the 300 block of Park Ave East.  The vehicle was left with the doors open and no keys.  The owner reported the vehicle was taken from his residence between 10:00 pm and 7:30 am on Friday morning.

A 52 year old Brandon man was arrested on Friday morning for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.  He was banging on windows in the 600 block of 11th St and when located by police, was in possession of a stolen bicycle. He will appear in court in September.

A business in the 2200 block of Park Ave was broke into around 11:50 pm on Thursday evening.  Video surveillance showed a suspect climbed the fence and hid under a trailer until employees left. The suspect then stole keys and siphoned gas out of so me equipment.  Some items were recovered outside the fence.

A 59 year old Brandon man was arrested on Friday after a theft complaitn from a department store on 18th St N.  On July 7th, staff prevented a man from stealing items from the store and told to leave the store. Shortly after, he returned and stole a tool lift and lawn mower with a combined value of $2300.  The suspects vehicle information was obtained and he was located on Friday and arrested. He will appear in court in September.

A 35 year old man from Sandy Bay was arrested on Friday evening. A vehicle was stopped in a parking lot on 18th St North.  The man was inside the vehicle and was found to be arrestable on several warrants.  He was searched following his arrest and had a can of bear spray and .5 gram of cocaine in his possession.  The man was lodged to appear in court on Saturday on charges of  Possession of a weapon and Possession of Cocaine as well as the arrest warrants.

Two people were lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
