Assault (Domestic)

 

At 1030 am, Tuesday morning, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of 9th Street. A 53-year-old Brandon male was arrested for assaulting his partner. The male was released from custody and will appear in court September.

Warrants Executed

 

On Tuesday evening, police attended a Pharmacy on Victoria Avenue for a male causing a disturbance. The male was located and found to have an unendorsed warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court. The 37-year-old Brandon male was held in custody to appear in court in the morning.

At approximately 1 am, police checked a male in the 300 block of 12th Street while in the area for an unrelated incident. The 38-year-old Brandon male was found to have an endorsed warrant for violating his probation. He was arrested and released for court in October.

Break and Enter

 

At approximately 8 pm, police attended a residence in the 1200 block of 20th Street. The resident there advised that they had just returned home to find a female inside their residence. The female is known to the owners but was not invited in but had broken in through the window in the front of the house, which was damaged. The female fled as soon as the homeowners got home and has not yet been apprehended.

 

Impaired Driver

 

At approximately 0025 am, police were called to a single vehicle versus light standard accident in the 1300 block of 26th Street. The 41-year-old male from Brandon, who was the driver, showed signs of impairment and was arrested. He returned to the Brandon Police Service building where he provided two samples of his breath at more than twice the legal limit. The male was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over .08 and was released from custody once sober. He will appear in court later in July.

Court Order Violation

 

At just after 4 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Rosser Avenue. The passenger in the vehicle was found to be on a court ordered curfew which she was violating. The 26-year-old Brandon female was arrested for breaching her undertaking and when searched had a small quantity of methamphetamine on her person. The female is charged with breach of undertaking and possession of a controlled substance and will appear in court in the morning.
