Theft Under $5000

A 29 year old man with no fixed address was arrested on Sunday evening after he was observed stealing several items from a business in the Corral Center.  He was arrested and the items were returned.  The man was released to appear in court in November after being held for several hours due to intoxication.

Domestic Assault

A 25 year old man from Winnipeg was arrested on Sunday evening and charged with Assault and Possession of Cocaine. A complaint was received from the man’s girlfriend that he had spit on her during an argument in a vehicle over the use of cocaine.  Officers attended and spoke with the two people.  A small baggie of cocaine was located in the vehicle.  The man was released and will appear in court in November.

Theft Under $5000

On Sunday morning, an employee of a business in the 600 block of Rosser Ave reported witnessing a man tear the front license plate off her vehicle parked at the business.  The man was located nearby and arreated for the theft.  The license plate was not recovered. The accused, a 34 year old resident of Brandon, was lodged until sober and released with a court day in November.

Break and Enter

A residence in the 300 block of 7th St was entered sometime between 2:00 pm on Sept 4th and 8:00 pm on Sept 5th.  There was no forced entry.  Medication was stolen. The incident is still under investigation.

Other Arrests

A 33 year old Souris man was arrested on a BPS warrant. He appeared in court on Monday morning.

A 27 year old Brandon woman was arrested for breaching a curfew condition of an undertaking. She was released and will appear in court on the charge in October.

Two people were lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
