Break and Enter and Theft

On March 26, 2021, police responded to a theft of a bicycle from a secure compound in the 100 block of McTavish Ave.  Video surveillance of the compound assisted in revealing the identity of the suspect, who was located and arrested on March 30, 2021.  The 22-year-old male was released to appear in court on June 3, 2021 on charges of Break and Enter and Theft and Possession of Break and Enter instruments.

 

Arrest Warrants

On March 30, 2021, at approximately 4:30 pm, police responded to a report of a female who was causing a disturbance for tenants in an apartment building in the 200 block of 8th street.  The 33-year-old female was located and found to be under the influence of illicit drugs. She was also found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober, when she will be released to appear in court on June 23, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

On March 30, 2021, a 26-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of outstanding warrants for his arrest.  The male was lodged and will appear today in court on charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm, and Impaired Driving.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 30, 2021, police responded to a report of an unwanted intoxicated male at a residence at approximately 10:00 pm.  The 53-year-old male had worn out his welcome with the homeowner, but would not leave and was becoming aggressive.  To prevent his negative behavior from escalating further, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On March 31, 2021, at 3:30 am, police responded to a 911 call in which a lot of yelling and arguing could be heard.  Police attended to the residence, and determined that the cause of the problem was a highly intoxicated 25-year-old male.  He was arrested and removed from the residence to prevent the situation from escalating.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On March 30, 2021, police responded to a residence at approximately 6:00 pm, as family members were increasingly concerned about the behavior of a 22-year-old female.  The female was found to be under the influence of illicit drugs.  Her family was not able to prevent her harmful behavior from escalating, so she was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On March 30, 2021, shortly before 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in traffic in the 2200 block of Rosser Ave.  The 43-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself, so he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On March 30, 2021 shortly before 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in a business in the 1800 block of Brandon Ave.  The 33-year-old male had nowhere safe to stay and no one to care for him so he was lodged until sober.

On March 31, 2021, at approximately 1:00 am, police responded to a report of a 30-year-old female who was intoxicated and had nowhere to stay, as she was not welcome anywhere in her condition.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
