Break Enter and Theft

At approx. 8:50 AM Friday, police received a report of a break and enter to a detached garage in the 100 block of 4th St.  The incident occurred sometime throughout the night.  The suspect(s) gained entry to the garage by forcing the man door. Once inside they stole approx. $150 from a freezer.

 

Theft of Vehicle

At approx. 12:50 PM Friday, Brandon Police received a report of a vehicle that had just been stolen from the 1900 block of Brandon Ave. The 2007 Chev Silverado with Manitoba license KBS 327 was seen travelling westbound on Brandon Ave just prior to the call to police. The vehicle has not been located and the investigation is ongoing.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

At approx. 2:45 PM Friday, an area resident of the 100 block of 12th St E reported an unknown vehicle parked in the lot, which had been there for several days without moving.  Officers attended to check the vehicle and found that it had been reported stolen in Virden on Jan 26.  The vehicle was towed to the Brandon Police Service for forensic examination.

  

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 9:20 PM Friday, police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the intersection o Hwy #1 and Hwy 110. The 26-year-old female driver, known to police was currently the subject of an arrest warrant for failing to comply with a probation order.  She was arrested on the strength of the warrant, and later released with a court date of April 12.  

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

At approx. 12;05 AM today, police conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of McDonald Ave.  The 39-year-old female driver was found to be the subject of a daily curfew, which she was not adhering to.  She was arrested for failing to comply with her Undertaking and has since been released with a court date of April 12.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 12:50 Am today, police conducted a pedestrian check of a male in the 1200 block of Rosser Ave.  The 24-year-old Brandon male was found to be wanted by the Brandon Police Service for breach of probation as well as the Manitoba First Nations Police, for assault cause bodily harm, assault to choke, and uttering threats. Officers arrested the male, and held him at the Brandon Police Service, pending court later this morning.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 4:10 AM today, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Lorne Ave.  The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old female of Long Plains was found to be the subject of a warrant of arrest for failing to comply with a release order. She was arrested on scene and has since been released with a court date of March 9.
