Breach of Court Order

On Saturday afternoon, police attended a disturbance between a male and female in the 800-block of Princess Ave. There was no physical altercation however; the 19-year-old male from Brandon was on a court order to have no contact or communication with the female. He was arrested and held in custody for court in the morning.

Traffic Advisory

Several areas of the city are currently affected by flooding from the storm last night. Manitoba Highways has shut down east bound traffic at 1st Street North and the #1 Highway. Traffic is being re-routed to Veteran’s Way. There are also traffic lights that are not working. Steps are being taken to remedy these situations. Drivers are advised to use caution and avoid driving through deep water. Should you encounter a non-working traffic light, drivers should treat it as a 4-way stop and ensure that cross traffic is clear of the intersection before proceeding. More information on road closures and power outages is available through the City of Brandon Public Information and on the City website.
