Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On July 20, 2022, police received a report of the theft of property from a vehicle, which was parked in the 100 block of 13th street.  The property included various power tools, which the owner later observed, were being sold on Facebook. 

On July 28, 2022, the victim made arrangements to buy back the items from a suspect and informed police, who were able to attend to the seller’s address and arrest the suspect.  The 39-year-old male was found to be in possession of some of the stolen property from the vehicle. 

He was released following his arrest and will appear in court on October 10, 2022 on a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Assault

On July 28, 2022 shortly before 5:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault near a business in the 900 block of Middleton Ave.  Investigation revealed that a 23-year-old male assaulted a victim causing minor injuries, which required medical treatment.  The suspect was arrested and later released to appear in court on September 8, 2022 on a charge of Assault. 

Breach of the Peace

On July 28, 2022 at 12:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated youth at a business in the 3500 block of Victoria Ave.  The 16-year-old female’s actions were concerning for those around her, and they were unable to prevent her from escalating and keep her safe.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On July 28, 2022, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the area of the 800 block of Pacific Ave at approximately 10:30 pm.  The 46-year-old was in no condition to care for herself, and she had nowhere to go.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On July 28, 2022, police located and arrested a 29-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 28, 2022, police located and arrested a 27-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service due to her level of intoxication and she will be released once sober to appear in court at a later date.

On July 29, 2022, police located and arrested a 22-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released and will appear in court on September 12, 2022.
