Break and Enter

At approx. 8:25 AM Tuesday, a City of Brandon employee reported a break in to the pool complex, located in the 400 block of Park St.  Entry was gained by cutting the locks on the gate.  The matter is still under investigation.

 

Break and Enter

At approx. 8:30 AM Tuesday, police received a report of a break in to a business in the 200 block of College Ave. The staff member reporting the incident stated that they had an alarm sound on July 25 and originally thought it to be false, however upon further investigation they have confirmed that someone had gained entry to the building, through a widow.  The incident is still under investigation.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 1:05 PM officers attended to a residence in the first hundred block of E. Fotheringham Drive, in an attempt to locate a male warranted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The 39-year-old male was located at his residence and arrested on two counts of failing to comply with his release order.  He was held in custody and will appear in court today.  

 

Prohibited Driving

While officers were at the address on E. Fotheringham Dr. they observed a male driving a vehicle onto the front lawn and that address.  The driver exited the vehicle and fled in to the house.  The 31-year-old male returned to the vehicle a short time later, and was identified by the officers.  He was found to be prohibited from driving in Canada and was therefore arrested and the vehicle was seized.  The accused has been released from custody and will appear in court on October 29th.

 

Arrest Warrants Executed

At approx. 2:15 PM Tuesday, a 39-year-old Brandon female attended to the Police Service to tur herself in on two outstanding warrants.  The female was wanted by the Winnipeg Police Service for theft under $5000, and by the Brandon Police Service for breaching her Undertaking.  She was arrested on the strength of the warrants, and released with court dates of October 19 in Brandon, and October 27 in Winnipeg.

 

Possession of a Weapon

At approx. 2:38 AM today, members conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Richmond Ave.  One of the passengers of the vehicle was found to be the subject of a warrant from the Virden RCMP for failing to comply with an Undertaking and Probation.   The 30 year old female from Sioux Valley was arrested on the strength of the warrant.  During a search incident to arrest, she was found to be in possession of a large knife and a BB gun.  As a result, she is also being charged with being in possession of a weapon.  The accused has been released and will appear in court on October 19.
