Possess Firearm Contrary to Order

On September 27, 2023, shortly after 12:00 pm, while looking for suspects at a residence on a separate matter, police observed a 33-year-old male in possession of a shotgun, contrary to a court order.  The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on charges of Possess Firearm Contrary to Order and Possess Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized.

 

Assault

On September 27, 2023, at approximately 7:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  Investigation revealed that both parties involved assaulted each other, so they were both arrested.  The 43-year-old female and the 45-year-old male were later released to appear in court on December 11, 2023, on charges of Assault.  Neither required medical attention.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 27, 2023, police responded to a report of a male outside the residence of an individual with whom he was to have no contact.  The 35-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on charges of Fail to comply with Probation and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On September 27, 2023, shortly before 2:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of 6th street.  The 29-year-old male driver was to abide by conditions not to communicate with one of his passengers.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on November 23, 2023, on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 25, 2023, police received a report that a 25-year-old male attended a school on McDiarmid Drive, contrary to an order prohibiting him from being there.  On September 27, 2023, the male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Release Order.

 

IPDA

On September 27, 2023, shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a naked male in the 800 block of Pacific Ave.  Police attended and arrested the 35-year-old male.  He was provided some clothing before being lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober, as he was in no condition to care for himself.

 

Breach of the Peace

On September 27, 2023, at approximately 11:30 pm, police responded to a 911 call from a residence.  A 49-year-old female at the residence was in no condition to care for herself due to her level of intoxication.  To prevent her behavior from escalating she was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober, as there was nobody able to care for her.

 

Breach of the Peace

On September 28, 2023, at approximately 2:00 am, police responded to a request from a female to have her intoxicated brother removed from her home as she was unable to prevent his behavior from escalating.  The 22-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of the Peace

On September 28, 2023, shortly after 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing issues at a residence as he was damaging property.  The 22-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his behavior from continuing.
