Break and Enter to Business

On May 27, 2021, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 700 block of 17th street.  Suspects gained entry to a construction trailer by forcing the door overnight.  Stolen was a significant amount of tools valued well over $10,000.

Break and Enter to Business

On May 27, 2021, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave E.  Suspects gained entry overnight by breaking through a glass door.  Stolen was an RCA monitor, “brewt” teapots and stainless steel cups, and custom-made jewelry.

Fraud Use Credit Card

On May 26, 2021, police responded to a report of the theft of identification and credit cards from a vehicle in the 1300 block of 26th street.  Following the theft, the suspect used a credit card at two businesses. 

On May 27, 2021, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 700 block of 10th street.  The driver was found to be disqualified from operating a motor vehicle.  In his possession was the stolen ID from the previous day.  Further investigation also revealed that the 34-year-old male suspect was responsible for using the stolen credit cards at the businesses.  The male was later released to appear in court on August 19, 2021 on charges of Possess Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud Use of Credit Card.

 

Assault

On May 27, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault beside a residence in the 400 block of 10th street at approximately 12:00 pm.  Witnesses observed a male suspect assaulting a victim and dragging them into the building. 

Investigation revealed that the 26-year-old male was to abide by conditions not to have any communication with the victim.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on charges of Assault and Fail to comply with Release Order.  The victim did not require medical attention.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On May 27, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence shortly before 1:00 pm.  Investigation into the two individuals involved revealed they were both to abide by conditions not to have communication with one another.  A 19-year-old male and a 22-year-old female were arrested and later released to appear in court on October 4, 2021 on charges of Fail to comply with Release Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On May 28, 2021, police responded to a 911 call at a residence shortly after 5:00 am.  Investigation into the individuals present in the residence revealed that a 35-year-old male was to abide by conditions not to have any communication with another individual in the residence.  He was arrested and lodged to appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Public Mischief

On May 28, 2021, shortly after 2:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Pacific Ave.  One of the passengers initially provided police with a false name to avoid being arrested, as he was to abide by conditions not to have communication with another passenger.  Once his identity was learned the 48-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Public Mischief.

 

Arrest Warrants

On May 27, 2021, police located and arrested a 42-year-old female on outstanding charges.  She was later released to appear in court on August 27, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

On May 28, 2021, police located and arrested a 21-year-old female on outstanding charges.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Fail to Attend Court, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Breach of Peace

On May 27, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in the 400 block of 9th street shortly before 5:00 pm.  Police located and arrested a 53-year-old male to prevent his destructive behavior from escalating.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On May 27, 2021 at approximately 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of several relatives fighting at a residence.  The homeowner was unable to prevent their behavior from escalating.  A 21-year-old male was found to be the issue and was arrested to prevent the continuation of the disturbance.  He was lodged and will be released when sober.
