Assault by Choking/Break and Enter

On September 24, 2023, at approximately 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male breaking into a residence in the 000 block of Willowdale Cres while he was threatening to kill a female occupant.

Police attended and arrested the 35-year-old male.

Further investigation revealed that on the previous day, the male suspect assaulted and choked the female in her home, as he prevented her from leaving.

He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Break and Enter with Intent to commit Assault, Forcible Confinement, Assault by Choking, Uttering Threats and Assault.

 

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On September 24, 2023, police responded to a report of the theft of a bicycle from Wren Crescent.  Investigation led police to locate the stolen bicycle and a second stolen bicycle in the possession of a 48-year-old male.  The male was arrested and later released to appear in court on November 27, 2023, on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime X2.

 

Break and Enter to Residential Shed

On September 24, 2023, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a shed in the 800 block of 11th street.  Suspects forced their way inside overnight and stole a set of four studded tires, which were located a short distance away.

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 24, 2023, police conducted a traffic stop on Driedger Bay at approximately 1:00 pm.  One of the occupants was found to be breaching a court ordered condition and arrested.  The 25-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.
