Break, Enter and Theft

At approx. 9:30 Friday morning, we received a report of a break and enter to a detached garage in the 300 block of 7th St. The caller indicated that sometime between 7:30 and 9:30 their garage was entered and a lawnmower, a Power Fist air compressor, a grass trimmer and a few assorted tools were stolen. The incident is still under investigation.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 11:20 AM Friday, a 38-year-old Brandon female attended to the Police Service to retrieve some property.  A check revealed the female was wanted the strength of two outstanding warrants for failing to attend court and contempt of court.  The suspect was held in custody for court later in the day.

 

Possession of Stolen Property

On June 5, a surveillance camera was stolen from an apartment building in 20th St.  The camera was located in the possession of a 38-year-old Brandon female.  She has been charged with being in possession of stolen property, and will appear in court on October 14.

 

Breach of Release Order

At 2:00 AM today, police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Pacific Ave.  A check of the two occupants in the vehicle revealed that both the 22-year-old Sioux Valley male, and the 33-year-old Brandon male were supposed to be complying with daily curfews.  The two men were arrested and will appear in court later today,

 

Other Arrests:

  • At approx. 7:20 PM Friday evening, officers located a 15-year-old male in the area of 34th and Victoria Ave, in a highly intoxicated state.  The male was extremely uncooperative and officers were unsuccessful in locating a parent.  As a result, he was held in cells overnight and when sober he will be issued a ticket for consuming liquor while under age.
  • At approx. 3:15 AM today, officers were called to the area of the 200 block of Middleton Ave, for a highly intoxicated 16-year-old male. Security for a business in the area was attempting to deal with the youth, however he was uncooperative and was wanting to fight.  The male was arrested und the Liquor Gaming and Cannabis Control Act and held overnight until sober.  He will be issued a ticket prior to release, for consuming liquor while under age.
