Stabbing – Suspect Arrested

On March 16, 2022, at approximately 11:30 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence in the 000 block of 6th street N. 

Upon arrival to the residence, police located a 52-year-old male inside the home with stab wounds.  He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The female suspect was observed leaving the residence prior to police arrival.  Police located her a short distance away and arrested her. 

The 24-year-old female suspect remains in police custody and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries she received during the altercation.  Members from Brandon Police Service Major Crimes Section continue to investigate.

 

Fraud Use of Credit Card

On March 15, 2022, police responded to a report of the theft of a wallet and cell phone from an unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the area of the 1000 block of Brandon Ave.  The theft occurred at approximately 8:30 pm.  The suspect then used a stolen credit card from the wallet at several Brandon businesses.  Security footage at the businesses where the stolen card was used assisted police in identifying the suspect.

On March 16, 2022, police located and arrested the 41-year-old male.  He was later released to appear in court on May 2, 2022 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud Use of Credit Card.

 

Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

On March 16, 2022 at approximately 10:30 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Lorne Ave.  Officers observed a small amount of unstamped tobacco and open alcohol within the vehicle, and the driver was arrested.  Investigation revealed the 31-year-old male suspect from Edmonton AB was in possession of crack cocaine.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Stolen Vehicle

On March 16, 2022, police responded to a report of a vehicle theft from the 300 block of Pacific Ave.  Suspects took the 2007 4-door red Ford Focus between 7:00 am on March 15 and 4:00 pm on March 16, 2022.  The vehicle has a Manitoba licence of HMG245.

Arrest Warrants

On March 16, 2022, police located and arrested a 49-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Ident.  He was released and will appear in court on May 9, 2022.

On March 16, 2022, police located and arrested a 24-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Mischief to Property.  She was later released and will appear in court on May 19, 2022.

On March 16, 2022, police located and arrested a 45-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was later released and will appear in court on May 12, 2022.

On March 16, 2022, a 25-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service as she was aware of a warrant for her arrest.  She was later released to appear in court on May 3, 2022 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.
