Assault
Police received a report of an incident which occurred on August 2, 2023 where a 32 year old male assaulted his wife. The male was arrested on Friday, and has been released with a court date of November 30.
Stolen Vehicle
At approx. 10:40 PM Friday, police received a report of a theft of a 1994 Honda Civic, from Wapiti Way. The stolen vehicle was last seen travelling westbound on Hwy #1 at a high rate of speed. BPS members contacted the Virden RCMP to advise of the theft, and the direction of travel of the vehicle. RCMP members were able to stop the vehicle and have apprehended a 30 year old male from Regina.
Arrest Warrant Executed
At approx. 12:15 AM today, police were called to an address in the 700 block of 14th St for an intoxicated male. Officers attended and located the male, who was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant of arrest, for failing to comply with his release conditions. The Release Order stemmed from pending charges of assault and sexual assault. The 29 year old male was arrested and will appear for a bail hearing later today.
