Possess Meth

On July 16, 2021 shortly before 2:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 1st street.  The 23-year-old driver was to abide by a curfew, and was arrested for the breach.  Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of unmarked cigarettes and Meth.  He was later released to appear in court on September 9, 2021 on charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking X2, Possess Meth, and Possession of Unmarked Cigarettes – Tobacco Tax Act.

 

Assault Peace Officer

On July 15, 2021, police received a report that a correctional officer at Brandon Correctional Centre had been assaulted by an inmate.  The correctional Officer did not suffer any injuries.  The 33-year-old male suspect was arrested and remains in custody in BCC.  He will appear in court today on a charge of Assault Peace Officer.

 

Breach of Peace

On July 16, 2021 at approximately 1:00 am, police responded to a report of a male suspect in the 000 block of 1st street, whose behavior was causing concern for others.  Police located the male who was intoxicated.  To prevent his actions from escalating, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On July 15, 2021, at approximately 12:30 pm, police observed an intoxicated male in the 100 block of 9th street.  The male was in no condition to care for himself.  His friends were also not able to look after him.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On July 15, 2021, at approximately 3:00 pm, police observed an intoxicated female in the 800 block of Pacific Ave. The female was in no condition to care for herself.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On July 15, 2021, a 46-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service as he was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  He was lodged and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

On July 15, 2021, police located and arrested a 34-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Release Order, Possess Property Obtained by Crime, Fraud Credit Card, Theft Credit Card, and Theft Under $5000.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 15, 2021, police located and arrested a 28-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fai to comply with Release Order and Obstruct Peace Officer.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 16, 2021, police located and arrested an 18-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X3.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 16, 2021, police located and arrested a 25-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Assault with a Weapon, Break and Enter, And Break and Enter and Commit.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 16, 2021, police located and arrested a 46-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend, and Theft Under $5000.  She was later released to appear in court in September 2021.
