Mischief to Property

On August 15, 2021 at approximately 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male throwing rocks at vehicles in the 1800 block of Brandon Ave, causing damage.  Police located and arrested the 27-year-old male, who was under the influence of illicit drugs.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released when sober to appear in court on November 8, 2021 on a charge of Mischief to Property.

 

Impaired Driving

On August 15, 2021 at approximately 8:30 pm, police responded to a report of an impaired driver operating a vehicle on the wrong side of the road in the area of Silverbirch drive.  Investigation led police to locate the vehicle and the driver, who was arrested.  The 26-year-old female displayed sign of impairment, but refused to provide a sample of her breath.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober to appear in court on a later date on charges of Impaired Driving and Refuse Breathalyzer.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On August 15, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence shortly after 3:00 pm.  A 41-year-old male was located in the residence, but he was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the homeowner.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 12, 2021.  While police were in the home, they assisted the homeowner in fixing their temperamental air conditioner.

 

Breach of Peace

On August 15, 2021, at approximately 5:00 pm, police responded to a report of an individual who was causing problems in the area of the 900 block of Princess Ave.  The male was intimidating people in the area with aggressive and threatening behavior.  The 34-year-old male was located and arrested in the area.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level to prevent his behavior from escalating.

On August 16, 2021 shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of a male who was causing a disturbance in a residence by trying to fight people.  The 46-year-old intoxicated male had worn out his welcome.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
