Break Enter and Theft

At 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon, police received a report of a break and enter to the Wheat City Golf Course.  The incident occurred between 6 PM on the 14th and 9 AM on the 15th. Several power tools were taken during the theft, which is still under investigation.

 

Break and Enter and Theft

At 2:40 AM today, an alarm was received from the Wheat City Golf Course.  Officer attended and found the clubhouse building had been entered and some electronics stolen.  Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old Brandon male, located in the area.  He has been charged with break, enter and theft, and possession of property obtained by crime. The accused male was also the subject of outstanding warrants from Brandon for possession of stolen property and from Virden for Impaired Driving.  He will appear in court this morning.

 

Break and Enter

At 4:15 AM today we received an alarm from a business in the Corral Centre reporting a break and enter.   The suspect attempted to gain access to an area within the business that had additional security measures, but was not successful.   The suspect had left prior to officers arrival and the matter is still under investigation.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

A 37-year-old Brandon female was arrested yesterday for failing to comply with her release order.  The accused is on an order not to attend to locations where alcohol is being sold.  On April 5th the accused attended to one of the Liquor stores in Brandon, which of course is video recorded at all times.  Yesterday members located the female and arrested her for failing to follow the conditions of her release.  She has been charged and will appear in court on July 9th.

 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

At 11:00 AM Wednesday a member of Bylaw Enforcement located a stolen 2012 Mazda 2 in the 1900 block of Princess Ave. The vehicle had been reported stolen on Tuesday April 14th from the 3200 block of Rosser Ave.  The stolen vehicle was towed from the area and the investigation is continuing.

 

Other Arrests: 

  • 1 person was arrested and held under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act
  • 1 person was arrested and held or breach of the peace.
