Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 2 PM Thursday, officers attended to an address in the 400 block of 7th St for a disturbance.  Upon arrival they located a 26 year old male who was the subject of concern.  The male was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for charges including assault, assault by choking, uttering threats and mischief to property.  The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and will appear in court later today.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 4 PM Thursday, officers observed a male outside a business in the 1100 block of 18th St.  The officers knew the 24 year old male from previous dealings and were also aware that he was currently the subject of a warrant o arrest.  The warrant was confirmed and the officers arrested the male for the charge of failing to comply with his release order. He has since been released with a court date of May 26.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 5 PM Thursday officers conducted a pedestrian check in the 3500 block of Willowdale.  The 21 year old female was known to the officer and was found to be wanted for failing to attend court.  The subject was arrested on the strength of the warrant, and has since been released from custody to appear in court on June 9.

Fail to Comply with Release Order

At approx. 12:40 AM today, officers attended to an address in the 1200 block of 9th St, to conduct a curfew check on a 44 year old male.  The investigation revealed that the male no longer lives at the address on his court order.  A short time later officers located the male at an address in the 500 block of 22nd St where he was arrested for four counts of failing to comply with his release order.  He is in custody and will appear in court later today.

Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

At approx. 3:40 AM police were called to an address in the 600 block of Princess Ave East, for a male causing a disturbance within the residence.  The caller indicated the male was making comments that he wanted the police to shoot him.  Officers attended and located the male outside the residence.  Upon approach, the 49 year old male pulled out a knife and became confrontational with officers.  As he began to advance toward the officers, they deployed their Tasers which allowed them to take the assailant into custody.  The male is in custody and will appear later today on charges of assault Peace Officer with a weapon and possess weapon for a dangerous purpose.  

Break Enter and Theft

On April 12 a male broke into an apartment complex on Silverbirch Dr.  He then damaged the laundry machines and stole the money from the machines. The incident was recorded, which allowed officers to identify a suspect for he incident.  This morning at approx. 5 AM an officer observed the suspect waling in the area of the 1100 block of 10th St.  He was arrested for break enter and theft and during a search incident to arrest he was found in possession off an assortment of break in tools.  He is in custody and will appear in court later today, charged with break enter and theft as well as possession of break in instruments.

Impaired Driving

At approx. 11 PM Thursday police were called to a motor vehicle collision near 8th St and College Ave.  A car had struck a parked car and the driver had fled.  There were no occupants of either vehicle at the time the officers arrived.  Officers followed footprints in the snow until the located and arrested the suspect.  The 35 year old male provided two samples of his breath resulting in reading twice the legal limit.  He has been released from custody with a court date of April 21 charges with impaired driving and drive over .08.
