Obtain Sexual Services

On February 13, 2022, police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of 18th street N at approximately 4:30 pm.  Police became concerned for the wellbeing of the 29-year-old female passenger.  Investigation into the 59-year-old male driver revealed that he offered the passenger cash and a ride to Winnipeg in exchange for sex. 

The male was arrested and later released to appear in court on April 11, 2022 on a charge of Obtain Sexual Services.  The female was taken to a safe location.

 

Break and Enter – Suspect Arrested

Following an investigation into several break and enters which occurred on February 3, 2022, police located and arrested a 33-year-old male suspect on February 13, 2022.  The suspect had forced his way into apartment buildings in the 00 block of 26th street and the 100 block of 14th street. Security footage from the addresses assisted police in identifying him.  He was later released and will appear in court on April 11, 2022 on charges of Break and Enter X2.

Break and Enter and Commit Theft – Suspect Arrested

On February 13, 2022, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 700 block of Louise Ave at approximately 12:30 pm.  The suspect forced the door to an office and stole sets of keys.  A witness was able to assist police locate the 33-year-old male suspect after he left the building.  The suspect was still in possession of the stolen keys upon his arrest.  He was later released and will appear in court on April 25, 2022 on a charge of Break and Enter and Commit Theft.

 

Theft Under $5000

On January 18, 2022, police responded to a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The suspect left the business and was not immediately located by police. The same suspect returned to the business on February 3, 2022, and stole more merchandise, but he left the area before he could be arrested.

On February 13, 2022, police located and arrested the 41-year-old male suspect.  He was later released and will appear in court on April 11, 2022 on charges of Theft Under $5000 X2.

 

Assault

On February 13, 2022, at approximately 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence.  Investigation revealed that a 32-year-old male assaulted a victim during the disturbance.  The victim did not need medical attention.  The suspect was arrested and later released to appear in court on March 28, 2022 on charge of Assault.

 

Arrest Warrant

On February 13, 2022, police located and arrested a 39-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking X2.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
