Breach of the Peace

On September 12, 2023, shortly before 8:00 am, police responded to a report of an unwanted guest at a residence in the 300 block of 8th Street.  An intoxicated male was banging on the door and would not leave.  The uncooperative 28-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his actions from escalating.

Assault

On September 12, 2023, at approximately 2:20 pm, police responded to a report of an assault which occurred at a business in the 300 block of 18th Street North. Investigation revealed that the 40-year-old male suspect had stolen merchandise, fled, then returned and punched an employee when he was confronted about the theft.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober to appear in court on November 23, 2023, on charges of Assault and Theft Under $5000.

Sexual Assault

On January 15, 2023, an adult female victim attended to Brandon Police Service and reported she had been sexually assaulted. After conducting an investigation, on September 12, 2023, the 19-year-old male suspect was located and arrested on a charge of Sexual Assault. He was later released to appear in court on December 4, 2023.  

Theft Under $5000

On September 12, 2023, shortly after 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue East.  Investigation revealed that the 48-year-old female suspect had stolen items valuing $60. She was located in the area and arrested. She was later released to appear in court on November 23, 2023, on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

Arrest Warrants

On September 12, 2023, shortly before 10:00 am, a 16-year-old female turned herself in at Brandon Police Service. She was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with a Sentence Order.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court in November 2023.

On September 13, 2023, a 26-year-old male was located and arrested on outstanding charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Uttering Threats, Discharge a Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life, and Fail to comply with a Probation Order. He was lodged to appear in court today.
