Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Suspect Arrested

On July 12, 2022 at approximately 8:00 am, the two Police Service Dog Unit members and their K-9 partners were training in the 1100 block of 5th street; they came across a stolen vehicle parked in the laneway.  The vehicle had been stolen on July 5, 2022 from a business in the 200 block of 18th street N. 

A 28-year-old female was sitting in the vehicle and was arrested as a result.  She was later released and will appear in court on August 8, 2022 on a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Assault

On July 13, 2022, shortly after 3:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female who was causing a disturbance at a residence where she was no longer welcome.  The 24-year-old female was arrested to prevent her actions from continuing. 

Prior to lodging her at Brandon Police Service, she was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared.  While there, she assaulted a hospital employee by kicking them.  She was later lodged and will be released once sober to appear in court on October 3, 2022 on a charge of Assault.

 

Assault

On July 10, 2022, police received a report of an assault, which occurred near the 500 block of Conservation Drive on July 3, 2022 sometime after 7:30 pm.  Investigation revealed that the suspect approached the victim from behind and assaulted him.  The victim suffered minor injuries for which he sought medical attention.  The assault was live streamed on Facebook, as it occurred during a community event.  The assault is believed to have been brought on following the decline of a friendship.

On July 12, 2022, police located and arrested the 46-year-old male suspect.  He was later released to appear in court on August 29, 2022 on a charge of Assault.

 

Breach of Peace

On July 12, 2022, police responded to a request to check on the wellbeing of children in a residence.  A 49-year-old female at the residence was found to be causing a disturbance due to her intoxication.  The children were left with other sober adults in the home, but the 49-year-old was lodged a Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent her actions from continuing.

On July 12, 2022, police responded to a report of a male causing issues for customers and employees at a business in the 900 block of 18th street shortly after 12:00 pm, by behaving aggressively towards them.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his actions from continuing.

On July 12, 2022, police responded to a report of a male going into residential yards on Woodsley Bay looking through property, shortly before 3:00 pm.  Police located and arrested the 29-year-old male.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his actions from continuing.

On July 13, 2022 at approximately 1:30 am, police came across an intoxicated female in the 000 block of 18th street N.  The 20-year-old female was behaving in a manner that caused police to fear for her safety.  To prevent her actions from escalating, she was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On July 12, 2022 at 6:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the middle of the road in the 900 block of 9th street.  Police located the 40-year-old female, who was in no condition to care for herself, and lodged her at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On July 12, 2022, a 32-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service, as she was aware of outstanding charges for her arrest.  She was later released to appear in court in September on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.
