Assault
On April 11, 2022, shortly after 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence. Investigation revealed that a 27-year-old male assaulted the victim by forcing her to the ground and a striking her several times. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. He was under the influence of an illicit drug at the time, and will be released once sober to appear in court on June 13, 2022. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Fail to Comply With Undertaking
On April 11, 2022 shortly after 6:00 pm, police came across an intoxicated male in the 000 block of 9th street. The male was screaming, swearing and spitting. Police learned that the 34-year-old male was to abide by conditions not to consume alcohol. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Undertaking.
Arrest Warrant
On April 11, 2022, police located and arrested a 28-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. Upon her arrest, she was found to be in the company of another individual with whom she was to have no contact, and she was in possession of a two-foot club. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Attend Court, Fail to comply with Undertaking X2 and Possess Weapon.
