Assault

On September 10, 2023, shortly before 1:30 pm, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The adult female victim received minor injuries after she was punched in the face by the 21-year-old male. He was arrested and later released to appear in court November 23, 2023, on a charge of Assault.

On September 10, 2023, at 2:15 pm, police responded to a report of an assault in the 400 block of 9th Street. The adult female victim received minor injuries after being punched in the mouth by the 45-year-old male. He was arrested and later released to appear in court November 23, 2023, on a charge of Assault.

On September 10, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue. During the altercation, witnesses observed the 24-year-old male assault the adult female victim. He was arrested on scene and later released to appear in court December 4, 2023, on a charge of Assault.

Impaired Driving

On September 10, 2023, at approximately 9:10 pm, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 2500 block of Louise Avenue. The 29-year-old male driver was observed exiting the vehicle and throwing the keys in attempt to evade responsibility for operating the vehicle. After showing signs of impairment, he was arrested and later released to appear in court on September 18, 2023, on charges of Impaired Driving, Driver over .08, and Prohibited Driving.

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 11, 2023, shortly after 2:00 am, police conducted a pedestrian check in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue. The 38-year-old male was found breaching a condition of his release, by not abiding by a 10pm curfew. Search incident to arrest also revealed he was in possession of a hunting knife. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
