Stolen Vehicle Recovered

On May 10, 2021, at approximately 10:30 am, police responded to a report of theft of a pick-up truck from a business in the 1700 block of 18th street N.  The theft occurred between May 8 and May 10, 2021.

While following up on a separate matter shortly before 5:00 pm on May 10, police discovered the stolen vehicle parked at a residence in the 000 block of 12th street N.  It was seized and towed for a forensic examination.  The theft of the vehicle remains under investigation.

A 55-year-old male at the address where the truck was parked was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court, Theft Under $5000, and Theft of Credit Card.  He was arrested and released to appear in court on July 6, 2021.

 

Carry Concealed Weapon

On May 10, 2021 shortly after 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of two individuals believed to be carrying knives in the 100 block of McTavish Ave.  The 52-year-old male was found in possession of a machete and a pocketknife.  He was also to abide by conditions not to be in the company of the second individual.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on charges of Carry a Concealed Weapon and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

The 29-year-old female, kept trying to step in front of the police cruiser as police were attempting to leave with the male.  She too was arrested due to her intoxication level and lodged for Breach of Peace at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Break and Enter to Garage

On May 10, 2021, police responded to a break and enter and theft from a garage in the 200 block of 22nd street.  Suspects are believed to have entered through an unlocked door between 9:00am and 6:00 pm that day.  Stolen was a silver/purple Supercycle bicycle attached to a grey/red Schwinn bike trailer.

Break and Enter to Garage

On May 10, 2021, shortly before midnight, police responded to a break and enter and theft from garage in the 000 block of Riverheights Drive.   A suspect entered through a door that was left open between 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm.  Stolen was a white Trek mountain bicycle with black writing and blue details.

Arrest Warrants

On May 10, 2021, police responded to a complaint at an apartment shortly after 9:00 am.  While investigating, police learned that one of the individuals within the apartment was wanted on outstanding charges.  The 21-year-old female was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court later that day on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

On May 10, 2021 shortly after 10:00 pm, police located and arrested a 47-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of assault.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
