Robbery

On June 24, 2022, police responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the 200 block of 18th street N.

A male suspect entered the business, stole two cases of drinks, and threatened the employee with a machete.  The employee was not assaulted or injured.

Security images from the business assisted police in later identifying the 20-year-old male suspect.  On July 10, 2022, it was determined the suspect was being detained in Brandon Correctional Centre on another matter.  He will appear in court today on charges of Robbery and Possession of a Weapon.

 

Assault by Choking

On July 10, 2022, shortly after 10:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.

Investigation revealed that a 19-year-old male assaulted a 19-year-old female in her home.  He struck her, pushed her and attempted to choke her.  She did not require medical attention.

The suspect was located and arrested.  He was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the victim.  He was also to abide by a curfew at an address in Dauphin.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault, Assault by Choking, and Fail to Comply with Release Order X3.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On July 10, 2022, at approximately 10:30 am, police responded to a report of a male yelling and screaming outside a residence in the 300 block of Percy Street.  Investigation revealed that the 43-year-iold male was no to have any communication with the occupant of the residence, who had locked themselves inside away from him.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court yesterday on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X2.

 

IPDA

On July 10, 2022 shortly after 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who was attempting to use a set of keys to get into a residence.  Investigation revealed that in the 24-year-old male’s intoxicated state, he mistook the home for his own which was four blocks away.  He was in no condition to care for himself, and police could not find anyone else to watch him as he lives alone.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On July 11, 2022, police located and arrested a 33-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Appear Court.  She was later released to appear in court on September 1, 2022.

On July 11, 2022, police responded a report that a male was continually driving past the residence of an acquaintance shortly before 4:00 am.  He was located in the yard and arrested on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On July 10, police located and arrested a 51-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fraud Under $5000 X2 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
