Warrants Executed

On Friday evening, Brandon Police arrested a 29-year-old Brandon female on the strength of a Winnipeg Police Service arrest warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints, failing to appear in court and breach of probation. The female was released to appear in court in July.

On Friday evening, Winnipeg Police Service arrested a 37-year-old Brandon male on the strength of a Brandon Police Service arrest warrant for assault. The male was released and will appear in court in July.

 

Theft of Vehicle

At 4 am, Saturday morning, the owner of a vehicle, a black Pontiac G5, reported that it had been stolen sometime in the last 6 hours. The vehicle has not yet been recovered. Police are investigating.

 

Domestic Assault

Early Saturday morning, police attended a residence in the south end for a disturbance. On arrival, the female present in the residence indicated that she had been assaulted by her male partner, who she alleges, pushed her down the stairs. The female had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. The 29-year-old male was arrested and the scene and will be released in the morning, once sober, to appear in court in July.

 

Arson

On Friday afternoon, Brandon Police and BFES attended a structure fire in the downtown area. The police investigation identified two suspects, a 39-year-old male and a 47-year-old female, both from Brandon. On Saturday morning, the two suspects were located by police and taken into custody without incident. They will both be held for a bail hearing.

 

Other Arrests

Two persons were arrested under the intoxicated person’s detention act and one other was arrested for breach of the peace. All three will be released when sober.
