Theft of Motor Vehicle – Second Suspect Arrested

On February 9, 2022, police located and arrested the second suspect from a vehicle theft, which occurred on February 1, 2022.  The 20-year-old female suspect was later released and will appear in court on April 7, 2022 on a charge of Theft of Motor Vehicle.

Original release from February 2, 2022:

On February 1, 2022, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 100 block of 19th street at 7:20 pm.  The vehicle was left running, and unattended to warm up.  Police located and stopped the vehicle in the 1600 block of Princess Ave, but the two suspects fled on foot.  Following a short foot pursuit, police arrested the passenger, a 35-year-old male.  He was later released and will appear in court on March 28, 2022 on charges of Possess Property Obtained by Crime and Resist Arrest.  Police are still investigating the theft, as the suspect driver was not located.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On February 9, 2022, police responded to a report of a break an enter to a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave. Suspects gained entry through an exterior door, but they didn’t proceed further into the building beyond the entranceway.  There was no damage and nothing stolen.

 

Arrest Warrants

On February 9, 2022, police conducted a traffic stop in the 000 block of 1 street N. at approximately 1:30 pm.  The driver was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.  The 60-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon X2, Aggravated Assault, and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

On February 9, 2022, police located and arrested a 34-year-old male wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  He was later released to appear in court on a later date.

On February 9, 2022, police located and arrested a 38-year-old male wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking X2 and Utter Threats.  He as lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On February 9, 2022, police located and arrested an 18-year-old male wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Mischief to Property.  He was later released to appear in court on April 12, 2022.

 

Breach of Peace

On February 10, 2022 at approximately 3:30 am, police came across a two intoxicated youth.  One of the youth was taken home and turned over to family. The second youth, a 17-year-old female, was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released to family once sober.
