Assault

On November 8, 2021, at 11:30 am, police responded to a report of an assault in the area of 13th street and Princess Ave.  Witnesses separated the individuals until police arrived.  The victim was treated for minor injuries.  Police arrested the 26-year-old female responsible for the fight.  She was later released to appear in court on January 10, 2022 on a charge of Assault.

 

Break and Enter to Residence

On November 8, 2021, police received a report of a break and enter to an apartment in the 100 block of 10th street.  Suspects gained entry by forcing a door.  It is not known if anything was stolen.

Utter Threats

On November 1, 2021, police received a report of a disturbance, which occurred in the 1900 block of 1st street shortly after 5:00 pm on October 29, 2021.  Investigation revealed that a 19-year-old male, and a second individual threatened to kill the victim, a male youth.  Investigation also revealed that the 19-year-old suspect was in possession of a knife and a baseball bat at the time of the altercation.

On November 8, 2021, police located and arrested the suspect.  He was later released to appear in court on January 10, 2022 on charges of Utter Threats, Possession of Weapon, Carry concealed Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Breach of Peace

On November 8, 2021, shortly before 7:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the 300 block of 7th street trying to fight other people in the area.  Police located and arrested the female to prevent her behavior from continuing.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Theft Under $5000

On November 8, 2021, police continued the investigation into several overnight Break and Enters to residential sheds.  Security footage revealed that the 34-year-old male suspect stole a security camera.  As the male had been released on a Release Order following his court appearance, police located and arrested him in his home. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of meth contrary to his release order.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000, and Fail to comply with Release Order.

On November 8, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed, which occurred at approximately 1:30 am in the 600 block of 11th street.  The suspect fled the property, and police searched the neighborhood.

On November 8, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed in the 800 block of 6th street shortly before 3:00 am.  The suspect was still in the shed when the homeowner alerted police, but he fled prior to their arrival.

Police located and arrested the suspect a short distance away.  He was in possession of break-in instruments, contrary to a court order.  Investigation revealed that he was also the same responsible individual for the break and enter reported earlier in the night, as well as one reported on November 5, 2021 in the 700 block of 11th street. 

The 34-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Break and Enter with intent X2, Possess Break-In Instruments, Possess Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
